HIV Test
Eliza confirmed by Western Blot
This blood test can screen for the presence of HIV once the body has produced HIV antibodies. Most people who are infected will show a positive result 3 months after exposure to HIV using this screening (repeated Elisa). Positive screening results are immediately confirmed with the Western Blot confirmation, using the same blood sample. If you test before antibodies appear (seroconversion), you may receive a false negative result. If you think you have been exposed to HIV but your test result is negative, test again within 6 months for your own peace of mind.
