Recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the HerpeSelect blood test looks for antibodies that are specific to HSV-2 (also known as genital herpes).
What kind of sample is required?
HerpeSelect Tests require a blood sample to be drawn by a phlebotomist at one of our official STD testing centers.
How to prepare for your test?
No advance preparation is needed before your test. Just be prepared to have your blood drawn.
When can I expect results from this test?
HerpeSelect herpes blood test results are usually available in 2-3 business days. Some of our patients have received genital herpes test results as quickly as 24 hours after test completion. After you purchase your test from us, you can choose to receive a phone call or email with your results.

If you are positive for genital herpes, rest assured knowing our in-house physician is available by telephone to prescribe the appropriate medication and any additional treatement or consultation.
Is there an At-Home Herpes Test Option
In order to acheive maximum accuracy, your HerpeSelect test requires blood to be drawn professionally at one of our official testing centers. We do not currently carry at-home versions of this particular test.
