Here is a great article & resource from the Mayo Clinic staff that discusses how to talk to your teens about sex and protecting themselves. It is very thorough and gives a parent a lot of different options depending on what message the parent is trying to get across or the direction they want their "sex discussion" to go in. I liked this "full spectrum" approach because all families are different and have different views on sexuality, but every parent wants their child to be protected!
