National Shortage of Drug Used in Common Vaginal Infections
CDC reports a shortage of the drug Metronidazole (sold under the brand name Flagyl) that is commonly used to treat bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, and sometimes pelvic inflammatory disease (which often stems from untreated chlamydia).
