I think there are two things to consider here. First, many young people just aren't aware of the facts about STDs. Beyond that, though, is the problem of people having misinformation about STDs, for example, thinking that oral sex isn't really "sex." People need not only awareness, but the right kind of awareness. There's lot of junk info out there!
