Hi Punkin,
No need to ever be embarassed here!! You ask a great question and it's important to clarify this because people are often mistaken about the risks of anal sex. Yes, anal sex does present the same risks for sexually transmitted diseases as "regular sex." STD's are just as easily transmitted anally as they are vaginally, so it's very important to know your partner, protect yourself and use a condom no matter what type of sexual exchange you are involved in. If you have had unprotected anal sex, it is also very important to get tested for a full-panel of sexually transmitted diseases. Hope this helps, remember to protect yourself and feel free to ask ANY other questions you may have!

To punkin: this is a GREAT question and one I've wondered about, too.
To the admin: thanks for the information, and you've confirmed what I suspected about anal sex being a risk for STDs. I think it's important to use a lot of lubricant with anal sex, as that part of the body isn't designed for sex and doesn't lubricate naturally. |
