Chlamydia Test
About Your Chlamydia Nucleic Acid Amplification (NAAT) Test
This urine test is based on amplification of the DNA that is present in Chlamydia trachomatis. The urine test is simple and preferable to the conventional culture method that requires swabbing. The urine test for Chlamydia trachomatis is currently the standard and is widely used. Our test is also generally more sensitive and specific than conventional culture (swabbing) and can identify more positive specimens.
What kind of sample is required?
Our chlamydia test requires a simple urine sample. Whether you are visiting a test center or using our At-Home Chlamydia Test Kit, a quick and easy sample of urine is all we need to determine whether or not you have contracted chlamydia.
How to prepare for your test?
Simply do not urinate for at least one hour prior to entering the test facility.
When can I expect results from this test?
Chlamydia test results are usually available in 2-3 business days. After you purchase your test from us, you can choose to receive a phone call or email with your results.
"If I come back positive for chlamydia, what should I do?"
If your test results are positive, you can take advantage of your free phone consultation with one of our staffed physicians. For only $60, our physicians can write a prescription for the appropriate antibiotics and fax it to a pharmacy near you.
How long does it take for the chlamydia antibiotics to work?
Your chlamydia infection should be cleared up 7-10 days after starting your medication. After the infection is cleared, we recommend getting tested again one month later to see if the infection is completely cured.
